What Kind of Computer?

The NSC will require for a minimum standards for a computer. Since the school is a government entity, there will be a requirement to run Kal-OS. The choice of this OS is for simplicity, and a smaller learning curve. And with all schools being under the control of the government, the goal will be to provide a computer that will last a decade or longer. The computer will meet minimum standards in CPU, memory, and an NVME storage option. A SD card reader is also required for all computers.

Kal-OS will be designed to run on older hardware, but this is intended for longevity. Upgrading computers on a national scale will be a daunting task, but since Kal-OS is the default OS for KCI, this will mean that many people will have this OS, and not only educational facilities. Kal-OS will have all of the features that you would expect from an Operating System, and extends on that to make it a special OS that people will actually want to use.
