Higher Education includes colleges and universities. All higher education institutions must meet to a minimum standard. This allows for transfer of credits which should be standard. All higher education institutions must also support government loans and grants in order to operate within the country.
Colleges are typically smaller, don’t offer housing for students and may be limited to 2 – 4 year courses as well as non credit courses which aren’t tied to any major. Universities tend to offer housing, and 2 – 10 year courses.
Both institutions are able to acquire a .edu.ka domain which will be provided by the Department of Education. All institutions will have a performance page that will be available for prospective students to read on the institute they are considering.
